Our latest update on the January Funding themed Share Network.
The funding event was on 20th January, using Zoom.
The event showcased great presentations from key speakers including Etruria Matters and Sporting Communities who talked about how they have worked together with other organisations across varying sectors to ensure success as well as Steve Abson from Coalfields Regeneration Trust and Tom Pine from The National Lottery Community Fund talking about the funding they have available to local groups. We enjoyed a lot of lively and productive chat and sharing amongst the attendees, through Q&A’s breakout rooms and a noticeboard style sharing activity using a packed full ‘Jamboard’.
Local organisations and funders focused on collaboration over competition which really enabled open sharing and discussions.
This link takes you to a recording of the event If you want to watch the whole session why not grab yourself a cup of tea and settle in (with a few biscuits maybe !) – it lasts for roughly 2 hours 30 minutes.
If you don’t have time to watch the full footage you can access the funders presentations below:
What people liked about the sessions …
- seeing how other small charities have coped
- Speakers use of statistics and knowledge of how to target their support
- Hearing about the good work in our communities and the impact it has had
- organisations ability to adapt their services
- good to network and get ideas – work in unison, not in competition.
