Emmaus North Staffs

Emmaus North Staffs is a local charity focused on supporting the most vulnerable people in our communities.  Being one of 350 Emmaus charities and groups across 37 different countries in the world, we bring 70 years of global experience to the North Staffs area.

We are the owner of the long-established Emmaus Furniture Mine charity, the largest furniture and household charity shop in the area, through which we support over 1,000 local households every year with discounted and donated furniture to help them turn a house into a home.

Our priorities are

  • The personal development and support of vulnerable local people through work-based education, experience, and skills to enable each person to move on in their lives
  • The support of, and provision of, accommodation for homeless people in the area to create a unique Emmaus ‘Community’ with homes for the homeless and meaningful work to create a purpose in the lives of each person

Why we are #TotallyStoked

Emmaus North Staffs is part of Totally Stoked because we are a local charity focused on supporting local organisations and local people – we are delighted to be part of Totally Stoked to create a new lease of life for the community and voluntary sector in North Staffs.
